Our Story

Founded by Keira Whitmore in Grey Lynn, our studio began as a small workshop where traditional Māori weaving techniques met modern design aesthetics. What started as weekend markets has grown into an Auckland destination for those seeking authentic, handcrafted home décor.

Today, our team includes master weavers Aroha Parata and James McKenzie, ceramic artist Liam Chen, and textile designer Sophie Blackwell. Together, we create pieces that honor heritage while embracing contemporary style.

Our Craft Process

From concept to creation, every step is done by hand

Design & Sketch

Keira and the team sketch initial concepts, drawing inspiration from nature, architecture, and cultural heritage.

Material Selection

We source sustainable materials from local New Zealand suppliers, ensuring quality and environmental responsibility.

Handcrafting

Each artisan applies their specialized skills, whether weaving, throwing clay, or stitching textiles, with meticulous attention.

Quality Check

Every piece undergoes rigorous inspection to ensure it meets our standards before reaching your home.

The Hands Behind the Craft

Our studio brings together five skilled artisans, each with their own specialty. Keira Whitmore leads the design direction, while Aroha Parata masters traditional weaving techniques passed down through generations. Liam Chen brings ceramic expertise from his training in Japan, James McKenzie specializes in woodwork and natural finishes, and Sophie Blackwell creates textile pieces using organic dyes.

Together, we've created over 500 unique pieces for homes across New Zealand and beyond, each carrying the signature of its maker.
